GETTING READY FOR THE 2025 HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
The Halloween Carnival is a service project of our united Middletown Lions Club. We put on this event to provide a safe and family-friendly Halloween celebration. We don’t charge admission because it is not a fundraising event. All children play free carnival games where they can win candy and prizes, and snack on free hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy. As they visit all of the attractions, the kids can fill in their “Passport to Fun” and enter the completed passports into the Grand Prize drawing. There will be free face painting and our popular Halloween Costume Contest for school-age kids!
The Halloween Carnival has become a beloved tradition in Middletown. The Carnival began in 1984 when the Middletown Lioness Club hosted the first event for our local children. Many of the parents who bring their children today remember coming to the Carnival when they were kids themselves. We started hosting the Carnival outdoors in Central Park in 2021 because attendance outgrew the space in our Clubhouse.
The 2025 Halloween Carnival will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, outdoors in Central Park.
We are so excited to be hosting our 41st Annual Carnival! We anticipate serving more families than ever. Last year we counted 422 kids plus their families in attendance. This year we are planning for 500+ kids with their families.
As prices for candy, prizes, and concession foods continue to rise, we find ourselves seeking assistance from our local merchants and organizations who have been so generous to this event. We operate on a $1,000 seed budget of Club funds, and frankly, we need to s-t-r-e-t-c-h those dollars!
How can you help? We are inviting you to become a Sponsor of the Halloween Carnival in one of these ways:
- A cash donation of any amount toward the candy, prizes and snacks that are free to all children in attendance.
- Sponsorship of a game booth: We are renting / borrowing pop up tents to keep the Carnival as rain-proof as possible. Sponsored or borrowed tents will include the name of your business displayed at the game booth.
- Gift certificate / gift card from your business; to be awarded as a prize in one of our contests.
- Sponsor a specific need: The cost of printing our advertising flyers and Passports to Fun; or the cost of photography for Phantom Photos--professional portraits of the kids & families, printed on the spot for our guests.
All of our sponsors are displayed at the Carnival and acknowledged in our social media and ad postings.
