White Cane Days
Lions Clubs have become known for our White Cane Days campaigns. We collect used eyeglasses and cash donations to distribute to those who need help with vision care. Lions members participate in White Cane Days each year to provide eyeglasses and surgery for local residents.
Lions give sight. By conducting vision screenings, equipping hospitals and clinics, distributing medicine and raising awareness of eye disease, Lions work toward their mission of providing vision for all. We have extended our commitment to sight conservation through countless local efforts and through our international SightFirst Program, which works to eradicate blindness.
White Cane Day for 2025 is October 15. Look for your local Lions members in the community on or near that date; raising awareness of the meaning of the White Cane. You'll be able to leave a donation at our table and say hello!
